Swallows

The staff are:

Teacher Mrs Larkworthy with Learning Support Assistant Ms Flammia and 1-1 Support Assistants Mrs Tyler & Mr Young.

Autumn 2023: The Swallows class has 9 Year 1 and 12 Year 2 children at present. We look at each child as an individual and try very hard to best suit their stage and optimum pace of learning with a personalised approach to their development.

The children have an exciting and varied curriculum including Read Write Inc; our Phonics, reading and writing programme as well as White Rose our Maths Programme. (See Curriculum tab).

This year in Swallows, we will be exploring three exciting projects. We will begin by looking at our capital city in a project titled 'London'. In Spring, we will explore the polar regions in our project 'Pole to Pole' and finally, in the summer, we will finish with a local based project called 'Step back in Time' which will focus on the village of Ravensden and childhoods in the past.

We will engage in a number of learning experiences linked to our projects including trips to London and the Cecil Higgins museum.
