Kingfishers

Teachers: Mrs Heeley and Mrs Tomlinson (part-time) with Learning Support Assistants Miss Lawton and Mr Young. 

Currently Kingfishers class has 18 pupils. 

We look at each child as an individual and try hard to best suit their stage and optimum pace of learning with a personalised approach to their development.

The children have an exciting, ambitious and varied curriculum that builds upon their prior knowledge. We will begin the Autumn term learning about Ancient Egypt. In Spring we will be exploring Ancient Rome and in Summer 2025, the children will be learning about the Anglo Saxons. We will engage in a number of learning experiences linked to our projects including a trip to the British Museum in London. 

We use high quality texts to develop writing and reading skills as well as White Rose for our Maths Programme alongside TT Rockstars to support fluency in times tables. ( See Curriculum tab).
