Swallows

The Swallows class has 5 Year 1 and 4 Year 2 children at present. We look at each child as an individual and try very hard to best suit their stage and optimum pace of learning with a personalised approach to their development.

The children have an exciting and varied curriculum including Read Write Inc; our Phonics, reading and writing programme as well as White Rose our Maths Programme. (See Curriculum tab).

This year in Swallows, we will be exploring three exciting projects. We will begin by studying a project called 'A Step Back in Time.' In Spring, we will explore a unit called 'Pole to Pole' and in the summer, we will finish with a project called 'Where in the World.'

We will engage in a number of learning experiences linked to our projects including a trip to the Higgins Museum.
