Kingfishers

Teacher: Mrs Colbert with Learning Support Assistants Mrs Tyler, Miss Lawton and Mr Young. 

Currently Kingfishers class has 13 pupils. 

We look at each child as an individual and try hard to best suit their stage and optimum pace of learning with a personalised approach to their development.

The children have an exciting, ambitious and varied curriculum that builds upon their prior knowledge. We will begin the Autumn term learning about the Ancient Maya. In Spring we will be exploring Sir Ernest Shackleton and in Summer 2025, the children will be learning about the Stone Age. We will engage in a number of learning experiences linked to our projects including a trip to the Shackleton Museum in Cambridge. 

We use high quality texts to develop writing and reading skills as well as White Rose for our Maths Programme alongside TT Rockstars to support fluency in times tables. (See Curriculum tab.)
